YOUR GUIDE TO EASY HAUNTINGS

Hello, ghosties, how would YOU like to plan your own haunting?!

For the remaining two weeks of the game, we're introducing the haunting mechanic for the ghosts. What this means is, using the form below, you will let us know who you want to haunt and where, and we will carry this out via the mod account.

Hauntings have to be small. You're all baby ghosts, after all. Think something like ruffling hair (thanks Lottie) or moving a small object or flipping through a notebook. You can do a bunch of small things, but the more you want to do, the more your character will be out of commission after, needing to recharge in the haunted pool. Please try and limit your hauntings to two per week maximum.

A few guidelines:
- No haunting dreams
- No auditory hauntings (at least for the first week)
- Drawings are limited to stick figures and basic shapes
- No full sentences, only a few words

WHERE: no toplevel that I can see - will be wherever the fuck hawke is on Tuesday morning at 3:00 a.m.
WHAT: okay. anthy is gonna try really, really hard to extend her battery life in ANY WAY POSSIBLE, so she's throwing all the spaghetti at the wall. since late Saturday (!!!) evening, she has been following hawke around and interacting as much as she can without using a ton of energy with Chu-chu (returning to the pool as necessary, of course). she is going to use her connections to hawke, Chu-chu, the letter she left for hawke, extended time spent in their presence more or less contemplating them and getting a good idea of Hawke's state of mind (bad!), and the power of the witching hour to communicate at least a few sentences to Hawke before having to quit.

ultimate goal: use the letter as an alphabet source and Chu-chu as a self-propelling planchette to make an easy breezy low-energy personalized ouija board.

first step: at 3:00 a.m. precisely, Chu-chu will bite Hawke's finger at approximately 75% Rat Power, which is a lot but not enough to require a shot or sever a digit. (don't fuck with rats.)

edit: if this needs to be tweaked in any way or is utterly impossible, please let me know! happy to adjust.

edit edit: forgot to say, but she will also try to save energy by having Chu-chu indicate whole words instead of letter by letter if that word is on the note she wrote to hawke. she is Trying Hard

Wanted to let you know, we can ABSOLUTELY do this, though it will be done sometime tomorrow after deadland endgame part 1 at the earliest. Just wanted to check on the IC timing, since I realized something that may not be clear! Deadland endgame is OOCly spread out over three days, but ICly it's all going to take place Monday. With this in mind, would you like to keep the timing of this haunting to Tuesday 3 a.m., or is there a better time that works for you?

Whatever the answer, this is a very creative haunt that I'm looking forward to fulfilling. Please also let us know what sentences Anthy is trying to get through. :>

oh huh. okay, I didn't realize that. it probably makes more sense to do on Monday 3 a.m. then? I didn't want to backdate it, but if things are kind of timey-wimey it doesn't really matter so much.

okay, so please bear with me because I don't have computer access rn, so I have to post this, check a thing, then edit it.

anthy's letter to hawke does not contain the letters j, q, x, and z or any numerals (which may have been a mistake). anthy's goal is to get across the following messages:

- anthy here
- doubles grew out your backs. following you. talk about when game happen before. same deaths motives killers. talk mar. look hats room*
- twty scnd person O-
- chains at exec, you hanging

and if she has any energy left:

- angry is ok. not perfect ok. not bad.
- must rest but will stay with when energy

bold indicates whole words that exist in anthy's letter to hawke, meaning that chu-chu will only have to move one time for that word.

if hawke asks clarifying yes/no questions, chu-chu will tap either a y or an n. if hawke asks other questions, she will TRY to answer depending on how long it takes/how complex the answer is/how much energy she has, but she is gonna prioritize getting her message across.

Most all of this is good! The only thing we'll have to veto is "same deaths motives killers" since she'll be sending this before the seance with Isabella. That's also something we'd just like them to find out in their own endgame.

Energy will run out after the "hanging" message, but a few yes/no questions can be answered, since it's just pointing to one letter.

Oh my gosh, our apologies! We didn't remember correctly, that's on us. In that case, we'd be fine with it! We just didn't want to mix up the endgames and that one got our wires crossed.
